Database Criteria

Music videos are permitted as long as there is significant creative control from a Japanese creator. If it is unclear, ask a moderator for advice.

Examples

Example 1:

All Alone With You was produced by the Japanese studio, 8-bit, and directed by Yuuichi Takahashi.

Example 2:

Shelter is a Canadian produced song However, the music video was a collaborative work with the animation studio A-1 Pictures. It was directed by Toshifumi Akai as well as featuring voice acting by Sachika Misawa.

Example 3:

The music video for Breaking the Habit (Wikipedia), by Linkin' Park, would not be eligible for the database. Although it did feature rotoscoped animation by Studio Gonzo, it was directed and produced by Joe Hahn and Eric Calderon respectively.
